Melbourne in 5th August 2017

Under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, the Higher Committee of the Zayed Forum in cooperation with the Emirates Youth Council in Melbourne, Australia, a youth seminar was organized for students from the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia.
The seminar, which was organized under the title "Making the Reputation of Arab Youth Around the World", was held on the sidelines of the Zayed Forum, which was held for the second year in a row in Australia in the presence of a number of officials and representatives of the participating parties, deep in history and reinforced by ties of brotherhood and common destiny.
The seminar was attended by HE Dr. Ahmed bin Abdullah Humaid Belhoul Al Falasi, Minister of State for Higher Education Affairs, HE Dr. Ali Rashid Al Nuaimi, Director General of Abu Dhabi Education Council, Supreme President of the UAE University, HE Dr. Obaid Al Hairi Salem Al Ketbi, UAE Ambassador to Australia and Mr Meshal Hamdan Al Rogi, Charge d’Affaires of the Embassy of Saudi Arabia to Australia.
The workshop was also attended by Mrs Rawdha Al Mansoori, UAE Cultural Attaché, Hisham Abdul Rahman Khaddawardi, Saudi Arabian Cultural Attaché and Nafea Zayed Al Shaibani, Media Affairs Officer at the Saudi Arabian Embassy. The youth workshop was run by Omar Al-Qarnas, a young Saudi who works at the Arab Youth Center and runs the ‘Arab Youth Center’ which aims to strengthen the bond between the Saudi and Emirati youth and launch joint initiatives. In addition to the role of Saudi and Emirati youth as ambassadors of values and the need to unite efforts with the influence of young Saudi and Emirati abroad, the youth seminar focused on the role of young Saudi and Emirati students in conveying an honorable image worthy of the reputation of their countries and creative solutions to build a good reputation for Arab youth and its global reach.
The participants in the youth seminar stressed the importance of organising such an event, especially as it witnessed the participation of elite UAE and Saudi students side by side in a scene that reflects the importance of Arab unity.
Youth workshops are a dialogue platform for presenting best practice and discussing the most important topics related to youth, their aspirations and the challenges they face in order to come up with practical solutions, innovative ideas and effective policies.
The aim of the workshops is to give young people the opportunity to express their opinions and impressions about their aspirations and challenges and to participate collectively in the positive impact. Each youth forum addresses a specific topic and tries to present solutions and ideas through practical discussions and recommendations from youth to youth.
