The UAE Embassy in Canberra along with the Cultural Attaché participated in the National Multicultural Festival, which is held annually in the Australian Capital, Canberra, with the presence of His Excellency Dr. Obaid Al Ketbi, UAE Ambassador, Mrs Rawdha Almansoori, Cultural Attaché, many diplomats, and local employees in the aim of showcasing the various respective traditions and customs of the participating countries in the festival.
UAE scholarship students from different departments also participated in all the various elements and activities undertaken by the UAE Embassy tent, which was a distinctive post displaying the history of civilization in the United Arab Emirates . Participation included an exhibition of photographs of various areas and landmarks, a video display which included tourist destinations of the state, and a special section for a showcase of heritage artifacts. There was also a station where people could have a ‘henna’ sample. The true authentic UAE hospitality was enjoyed by visitors to the tent with the chance to taste some delights such as Arabic coffee, dates amongst other delicacies.
